We were on the phone for over an hour.  I remember sitting in my car in the driveway and not wanting to hang up the phone because it felt like I was talking to a friend.  We had only spoken briefly when I shot her sister’s wedding,  but this whole conversation seemed like we were catching each other up on life.  Emily and Danny were planning their November wedding at the Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery in Dripping Springs, TX and asked me to be a part of their day.  We set up an engagement session… but later had to postpone the session due to heavy rain – which turned out to be Hurricane Harvey.

Their evening wedding was flipping gorgeous, had a beautiful candle-covered fireplace lighting the ceremony, and the whole event felt like a family reunion as many of the same family and friends were part of the celebration.

The engagement session turned into a Day After Session (or should I say a “months” after session) but we couldn’t have asked for a better day!  Emily and Danny were able to drive down to San Antonio with their pup Louie and we turned it into a full-fledged family session at the Pearl Brewery!

Louie… I can’t believe how amazing you did on the shoot!  You have two parents that adorrrrrre you, and you know it!  You even cooperated with us without your leash!

These two… oh my gosh we all had so much fun!  I love it when my couples decide to get a little goofy for some fun shots… this is their personality to a T!

It’s ok… Danny knew that this session was all about Louie…. and he was OK with it. :)

Of course we were able to find a rusty wall to coordinate with Louie’s Longhorns jersey – which he obviously loves to show off.

At the end of the evening we had one pooped little pup… ugh I’m in love with this dog!

Kaitlyn and Tyler are one of the sweetest high-school sweetheart couples I know.  Their magical wedding will take place on a Disney Cruise ship later this year and I simply cannot wait!

Their engagement session was filled with lots of laughter, and plenty of planning for their wedding day.  We were able to dodge most of the river-walk crowds and grab some special moments throughout the evening.

Thank you both for such a wonderful session – November will be here before we know it!  <3

They walked inside together, holding hands and smiling uncontrollably while ordering their morning coffee.  When they came and sat down, I immediately knew that this couple was full of life and fun.  We talked over wedding collection details, but kept getting side-tracked about time spent in Tennessee, how we all knew what small-town life was like, and our excessive need for morning coffee.

Amy and Stephen picked their favorite hiking place for their engagement session – Guadalupe River State Park in Spring Branch, Texas.  We arrived during golden-hour just as the sun was setting.  The park was getting ready to close, and most of the other visitors had already left; we basically had the river to ourselves.

Oh my gosh Amy….. you’re stunning….

Amy and Stephen kept commenting on how much fun they were having, and Amy said that she “loved all of the kissing!” … soooooo in love.  I’m telling you, they were naturals.

Piggy-back rides?  Yes please!
